New York house passes more Gun Control legislation

The New York house passed a package of new gun control measures to “help stop the illegal flow of guns into the state”. Because criminal enterprises follow the law right? Once again the moronic public servants in NY get it wrong. This package includes a bill that would make it easier to file lawsuits against firearm manufacturers. “Right now, only one industry in the United States enjoys blanket immunity from civil liability under federal law for negligence in the use of their products; the gun industry,” said Assemblywoman Pat Fahy, a Democrat from Albany who backed the bill with Brooklyn Sen. Zellnor Myrie. “Passing this landmark legislation will allow gun manufacturers knowingly utilizing bad actors and dealers to market their products to be held civilly liable for the damage they cause on our streets. We have always led the nation on gun legislation — and we aren’t letting up now to help keep New Yorkers safe from the scourge of gun violence.”

I’m sorry, only one industry? Well, auto manufacturers are pretty immune, tobacco, alcohol, and we could go on but why bother, logic makes no difference when it comes to the lefts agenda.

Another bill in the package would bar the possession of so-called “ghost guns” in New York that are assembled using parts that are not serialized, which make it difficult for law enforcement to trace. Gunsmiths would be required to serialize and register with the State Police any firearms without a serial number. This is mainly for lower receivers which are called 80% and are legal according to the BATFE. Let’s just overlook the fact that the second amendment says nothing about serialized arms. And, this bill, won’t stop anything because the type of people that funnel guns for nefarious reasons will not be stopped by a piece of legislation.

We would think NY would have other things to focus on like, I don’t know RE-funding the police to enforce the laws that are in place.
